Such a great reminder to enjoy where you are. Today is my twins’ 16 th birthday and I always feel so nostalgic for the old days of extreme cuteness. I will work on appreciating their teen selves today. (It’s 6:46 am as I post this)
Great job, Abby. I can tell you at 73, all those memories stick with you and create great fodder for gathering later. It feels rich to have all history in the bank.
What a great share - appreciated so much reading it! I am right with you about enjoying “this moment” and have to actively remind myself to be in moment :) Like looking for the first firefly of the summer (saw it) and enjoying them again last evening.
I know I am not the target demographic for all your writings, but I do enjoy reading your work and this one, as well as so many others, was really special. Great stuff!
Thank you so much for this beautiful musing, Amy. Inhabiting the present is at the same time the simplest and hardest thing in the world. That desire to go back for 30 seconds... the distance from there to here is wisdom, I think. The knowledge that only comes with time.
Maine sounds amazing! Enjoy.

Hi Marcia! Well, good luck falling in love with teenagers, lol. But really, HBD to those cuties and enjoy them. xo

“Comparison is the thief of joy”… how apropos! So much wisdom, from someone so young.

This was a powerful one, Amy. Thanks for sharing. I loved My Mom Jayne too, btw. Enjoy Maine!

Hi! It's good to know that the human experience can transcend demographies. So glad to have you following (and identifying!) along! :)
Love this!
Love this. Have a peaceful week in Maine!!
