Hello lovely Midlifers and happy Friday!

I am back and feeling so much more like myself after a rough reentry home with a mystery bug after a few days in Nashville for a conference. So annoying.

In fact, I am coming to you at the start of a glorious DAY OFF from work! In Corporate America, we RECHARGE! And so our leaders have gifted us with after a long Q1 — a “recharge” day. Cringy or otherwise, I’ll take it.

According to my phone, the weather in NJ this weekend looks rainy (although my kids always jokingly call the Apple Weather app the Emoji app because it’s just a bunch of pictures that don’t always reflect the actual weather). TBH, the inner-Morticia Addams in me doesn’t hate the thought of a rainy weekend. She enjoys an excuse to stay home to putter, read and watch TV.

In other news, I had a long convo with my therapist this week about people who are avoidant and, lol, I am seeing patterns.

Here’s wishing you a good weekend, whether you’re up to your ears in sweaters organizing your closet, going on a walk with your dog or out to dinner with friends.
