The Weekend Log: Take 8

Forgetting to pack underwear and the magic of heartbreak.

Bon jour, Midlifers:

I forgot to pack underwear for my youngest kid’s graduation festivities last weekend and yesterday showed up at 5:15 for a 6:30 hair appointment. So things are going great!

In my defense, the amount of items on both my personal and professional to-do lists is I think at an all-time-high. Good lord, with a kid graduating from college and another getting married — which includes international travel with FAMILY — and a very WORKY time of year at work, there’s been a lot to get through.

But I’m doing it! Other than the underwear business mentioned above, it’s all working out. Even showing up early to get my hair done bought me more time to get things done for work since I’d brought along my laptop. I tapped away at my keyboard while women with their hair lifted high above their heads like osprey nests with strips of tin foil drifted past.
