Thanks, Tara. xo Fresh from the nail removal and reporting that 3 came off and I was too scared to do the rest so clipped them back instead. To be continued ...

Nails are an experience.

I usually keep dipped nails (SNS) on, but when I moved I had them taken off because I knew I would need to find a salon.

I finally got tired of keeping my nails short and caved to a nail tech who recommended acrylic. I kept saying how much I didn’t like them from recollection, but they turned out ok.

A couple weeks ago I decided to take off the acrylic and cut my nails down again. I just can’t make the every 2 or 3 week visit.

I used to look forward to getting my nails done. Now I dread it. I do love how they look though:-)

For me, it's like getting my hair done. It's now a part of the whole maintenance process. Like getting my teeth cleaned. Acrylics scare me. I just did the dipped manicure and really liked it. I just hope that to get it off isn't going to require scraping my nails down to nubs.

Boy would I like to get back to getting my hair done! Right now, my parents are taking my focus. I need to return to my hair and nail regimen.

I was scared of these nails before (and eyelash extensions too!) so I guess I will stick with my little nubs. Thanks for this cautionary tale! xx
