Crossing to Safety is such a beautiful story. When I first picked it up I was surprised to see when it was published. Someone, who I can’t remember, recommended it. I started reading and couldn’t put it down. What did you think of Long Island? I listened to it while driving to and from Long Island 2 weeks ago to visit family and we went to Jones Beach.

Kelly, I LOVED it. I never read Brooklyn so going to go back and listen. I hope he writes a third book to let us know what happens with these unforgettable characters ( kind of like the Lucy Barton trilogy). All that said, what did YOU think?

I found myself saying, "what happened next". I don't like lose ends but this one really left me hanging. He nailed the Irish way of not talking about feelings and opening up to others which I have experienced and get full of frustration. If they just talked to each other!!

OMG right??? The inability to communicate AND sweeping everything under the rug as a most-used conflict resolution tool. Yes, he needs to write a follow up so we can all find out what happened next.
