Ha! Liz, I think I manifested it. Every time I pulled it out to work over the last year or so, I wondered, "Is this it?" I mean, these things can only last so long, but maybe I should have not been expecting the worse every time. My advice, try not to think the bad things and by all means, do not drop it. That, indeed, is a death sentence." ;) Happy new year!!!!!!
Thank you for my New Year resolution, which will be a Jar of Good Things. My Dad also died on January 4th, which started my iNotes ‘Shitty things that happened in 2023’. I had no problem filling that list this year but I want 2024 to be more positive. 😊
Feeling this! I lost my dad in October--a rocky end to the year (plus shingles!). And our trusty Cuisanart, also around 30 years old, is about to die. Sigh! But I love your “jar of good things” idea.
Oh we are two peas in a pod on these stinky things (minus the shingles for me!). I highly recommend the Jar of Good Things. It really really helps me remember all the good things and this year I got really good about getting stuff down and into the jar. I hope next year is even better! Try it, even a few at the end of the year can be really satisfying. xo
LIZ! I also read through my journal entries for 2023 (not a ton there) but did see that we Facetimed in April (so long ago!) and that I was determined to go on your writing retreat to Italy (fail). Let's be better at seeing each other this year!! xo
Now I'm worried about my Cuisnart. I hope she's all right! Love your insights as usual, Amy!

Happy New Year! I have to say, I think surrender is a slow slow burn.....you get there when you get there. And then you just keep going. 😂
Sorry about your beloved appliance. ❤️
San, such good and sage advice. "Slow burn." I'm gonna think about that one. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! xoxoxo
Happy New Year, Amy! Wishing for the lessons it brings to be bookended with wonder and delight 💕
Oh Eileen, same wishes and blessings to you!! Happy New Year!!! xo

Beth, I am so sorry about your dad and yes, that is indeed a shitty thing. But this year, I am channeling the awesome, not the shitty. Join me!! xo
