Clairol Root Touch-up if you need it in between hair appointments. It was a great quick fix because I chose to see The Stones instead of keeping my rigidly scheduled appointment! Ulta. Have a great trip - YOLO!
Way to go on making your rental more like home! Years ago, we rented a great place and we knew we'd be there for several years (turned into 6) and the first year we gently remodeled the tiny, only bathroom (with permission) because we needed it nicer. $5,000 made it so much more liveable and more like home. Also, @etst on IG just finished a trip to Chicago and said the architectural boat tour was amazing!
I did a bike loop around the lake last time I visited Chicago. Fun! The Art Institute, Concerts in the park, the conservatory. It’s a great walkable city!
My sentiments exactly and well written/expressed! As I celebrated my birthday yesterday, I have been having many of these same thoughts and you said it so well. Enjoy Chicago and all of the upcoming events as well as the hair color, therapy and work! The architecture cruise in Chicago is great!
Happy belated!!! Personally, I always go down some mental rabbit holes around my annual reckoning. ;) Thanks you for the kind words and will report back on the boat tour experience!!! xo
Love Chicago. Definitely check out the Art Institute, the Riverwalk. There’s a great restaurant, Nora’s, which was fabulous. It’s off Michigan across from Northwestern Hospital.
All ears for Chicago suggestions, too! You're the 3rd person I've heard in a week who's visiting, so I think I need to go, too! I heard it's way cooler than you'd ever think! Also, I'm with you on trying to stop waiting for life to start. I catch myself in that same thinking pattern and then I'm like, dude, you're running out of runway - fly the dang plane. Enjoy your trip!

BRILLIANT MOVE
Off. That "never-ending loop of all the things." It's nice to break out of it once in a while!
Indeed!! Thanks for reading!!! xo

The Nester talks often about making the home you live in (even a rental) suit your life. Changed my way of thinking.
Enjoy Chicago - I’ve always wanted to do that architectural boat tour!
That is really excellent advice. I will let you know about the tour and whether you, too, need to book a spur of the moment trip to Chicago. ;)

No Chicago ideas to share (have only been there once decades ago) ... but really loved this post! Thanks for the reminder about YOLO!

Have fun! We loved the architecture boat tour. The Art Institute, Magnificent Mile, walking along the lake, Old Town neighborhood. A great city!
