I love your honesty in this piece! I think so many can relate and I certainly can. Beautifully, movingly, powerfully written.

I'm flattered that my "dopamine menu" made it to your sunday shares! Your plant repotting afternoon is highly inspiring as mine stare back at me in need of some TLC. Although I'm not in mid-life yet (it sometimes feels like I am!), I can relate to solo living and the desire to find more connection. I'm cheering you on as you take Step One on the ultimate quest of defying gravity!

We humans do share a lot of the same trials and tribulations, no matter how old we are! The repotting is a PAIN but SO satisfying when it's all done and they're in their bigger homes.

LOL. I mean, we def have our moments. But it's nice to have people in my life who like to listen to showtunes and think repotting houseplants is a great holiday weekend activity. ;)

This is so beautiful Amy. Thank you for sharing. I had a similar experience on LDW. I had a great weekend, connected with friends, did some writing, but still felt like "why didn't I go to any parties?" Learning to let go of that old narrative!
