Thank YOU for your generous sharing. And thanks for the Pitt rec. It's now on the list. Have you seen "Resident Alien" on Netflix? We're currently enjoying it. It's quirky, dark, hilarious -- all about how to find a more-or-less comfortable fit on this planet of ours, this world that's so deeply f*cked and deeply sublime too. Highly recommend.
Our family “business” is medicine (doctors, nurses, NPs, pharmacists, RTs) they all ❤️ “The Pitt” and say it is pretty realistic and the patient stories ring true to life. My husband, an ICU doctor who worked through COVID, has teared up over more than one episode. He also says the doctors personalities are accurate. I’m glad to see how well the show has done! Hope there are more seasons to come.
Oh Venetia, that is so awesome to hear. I no ZERO medical professionals who work in an ER and yet it all seems super authentic. And YES, I read that they're already writing Season 2. Also, did not surprise me to learn the creators hail from ER and The West Wing. ;) xo
One time, I was in such a hurry to get out of my house to cover something as a reporter that I left one of my kids at home by himself. We were rushing to the babysitter’s and I looked in the rearview mirror at the kids in the back of the minivan and only saw two heads in the car seats.
“Max, sit up,” I barked.
No answer.
“. I signed off from work on Friday around 5:30 p.m. and felt like I’d been punched in the face and took to the couch.”
I’m so sorry and so relate. If you figure out the boundaries, please be my guru.
Oh, Amy, I felt every bit of this — from the facial hair (how I spent Friday night) to the kitchen mishaps. My insanity-is-doing-the-same-thing issue is potting a few eggs in a pot of water to boil … walking away and then by the time they’re bubbling I have no clue what the sound is and am convinced squirrels broke into my kitchen. Heaven help us!!
The Pitt is the best show out there - well chosen!
RIGHT??? It is compulsively watchable.
Oh that car seat moment!!! :)
I remember that little voice like it was yesterday!!!
Those suppers look delicious. I’m in that “mostly uninspired but waiting for cold weather so I can cook different things” phase.
LOL — I so get that. I like the winter-y things I've been eating, I'd just like someone else to make it all for me. ;) xo
So sorry to hear about Melody Beattie's passing. I don't know how I missed that news. She was a gem, for sure.
I hadn’t realized either until they re-aired the podcast episode.🫶

Oooooh, good to know! I'll be needing something after I blow through all episodes available of The Pitt!! xo
Yay! I think it'll be a good follow up! Enjoy. :-) -- Grace

Glad to not be alone in forgetting :) Thank you for your honesty!
Good to know we're not the only ones losing our #$%@. xo
The woman's group you spoke of.....would you mind sharing more about it? Thank you
Hi I should have been more specific. It’s a local 12-step meeting that I really love💜
This made me laugh! And, the innie/outie struggle is real.
For such a creepy show, that Innie/Outie situation is a great metaphor for real life.
Laughed so hard at this!

It's a constant struggle, isn't it??!!! I want to crush it at work AND I want to have a life. We'll keep trying!!

Ha! Right? Hearing those sounds that are a little office and wondering: NOW WHAT
LOL!!
