Terrible at any morning routines but to counteract that, I basically do everything in the evening - pack lunch, set gym clothes out, pack work bag, choose clothes, everything.
I also had a birthday two weeks ago (6th) and turned 50. I thought that was going to be a big deal (it is!) but I was diagnosed with breast cancer just a few days before. Have just had surgery so probably need to figure out who this new version of myself is.
Marcia, oh! You buried the lead here. Or maybe you are keeping things in perspective. All I know is that I am hugging you right now across the interweb. You and your 50 year old new self. But you're a Leo, so I feel good about this. I love your share about doing things the night before, which — when I do that — really does feel like a superpower. Thank you so much for sharing and please don't be a stranger! xo
Happy Birthday! I’m trying to change my routine as well after (surprise! And not in a good way LOL) open heart surgery 2 weeks ago. Nothing like a critical health scare into making one realize just how little time we are here to achieve our goals and dreams. My list is long and every day I’m attempting to make a new change, however small. The key is to “keep swimming” as Dory famously said 😁
Hi Eileen! I love your post-intense surgery good vibes. Your awesome optimism. I mean, quoting Dory is everything. Thank you so much for sharing and sending *HUGS* as you navigate this new you. xo
You know, I am going to sue Kamala because I was really going to make JOY my thing this year. LOL. But connection is everything. So glad I get to connect with you.xo
Thank you Vickie! I have not but am going to find that book! And this is why we need friends of ALL ages, to help us keep things in perspective. Can't wait to hear all about your Alaskan adventures!! xo
Happy Birthday!!! I’m turning 59 in November and I’m trying to stay positive. 😏Thanks for the reminder that we can start healthy habits at any age. (Although starting unhealthy habits is a lot easier 😂 ….)
Girl, we need to stay positive! Also: what are our options? ;) Yes, I am a fan of starting things. It's the seeing them all the way through that's my downfall. But I'm determined to make room if possible!

Love the hat!! Happy bday. I suck at both bedtime and wake up routines.
I am SO into that hat. ;) Fun to connect with you IRL and I knowwwwww aobut the whole routine thing. But I'm still trying!
Happy Birthday. Have you read 4000 Weeks? It’s an interesting perspective. And from a 72 year old: you still have sooooo much ahead of you.
