"I now see that when Jerry Maguire storms into book club to tell Renee Zelwigger that she 'completes him,' and we all SWOONED in our seats, that we were very misguided. The only thing that can complete you, that can give you wholeness, is you. It does not come from any external sources. Sometimes, Rollos can help. But in the end, you are the only one who can save you."

We swooned, we chased the wrong things, and on and on. . . How right you are.

Yes! Oh my goodness "you complete me"... NO!! I don't want to complete anyone - come already complete and let's be complete together. :)

Glad you’re back. I have missed reading. Also, fun fact - my word for 2024 was WHOLE and that was the breast cancer diagnosis year 🙃🙃🙃

Hi Marcia, it's good to be back! What is the Universe trying to tell you with that diagnosis during your WHOLE year? I am sending lots of love and hugs. Thank you so much for reading and sharing. xo

Oh, I can't wait for your review of Left on Tenth! I've been so curious about it! All Fours was wild, right? (True confession, I didn't make it to the end, but need a visual on that hotel room!) I love Rolos too! xx

Skip the play, read (or listen to) the memoir (which I really enjoyed). Interesting you didn't get through All Fours. Have you checked out her Substack? I find her really interesting. Thanks for reading, Liz!!! xo

Oh, good to know on the play (and also sorry to hear that). I read and loved The First Bad Man and No One Belongs Here More Than You so I was so excited to read this. Next time we get together, I'll tell you where I turned off the audio :) And maybe you can tell me how it ends! Have a great week! xx

I just shared this with a huge community of friends. Hope you get lots of new readers. I’ll say it again. I’m so glad you’re back!

You have another Jewish friend! Meeeee. lol. Although, I do celebrate Christmas. Xo

Oooh. How fun and thank you for sharing! LOL I guess Jewish friends I've had have always celebrated the holiday (probs bc married to non-Jewish people)? In our new friendship it seems it hadn't been something we'd really talked about. Great lesson for me. Love having your friendship!! xo

SO happy you are back! I need my Target and TJ recommendations in addition to the Old Navy ones, btw 😉. And you’ve got another Jewish reader here, although I only discovered that through an Ancestry DNA test a couple months ago (WHAT) so I am unclear on traditions as well 😂.
